Professional engineer with decades of experience working in oil and gas in Alberta and around the world, Prasad Panda served in Alberta’s Legislative Assembly from 2015 to 2023.
A professional engineer by trade, with decades of experience working in oil and gas in Alberta and around the world, Prasad Panda was first elected in the riding of Calgary-Foothills in 2015 and served in Alberta’s Legislative Assembly until 2023. From 2019-2022, he served as Minister of Infrastructure and Minister of Transportation – Alberta’s two major project ministries – overseeing billions in capital spending during the height of the global pandemic.
An experienced professional with a reputation for delivering results, Prasad brings a deep understanding of public and private-sector partnerships. He is recognized across industry and government as a team player and leader, familiar with the stakeholder consultation process, indigenous relations, and Canada’s complex regulatory approval processes.
With more than a decade spent working in the public eye, Prasad has a proven track- record of practicing good governance, accountability to both shareholders and taxpayers, transparency, and compliance.
