Welcome to the residents of Hanson Ranch, Country Hills, Harvest Hills, Panorama Hills and Coventry Hills. My name is Prasad Panda, the Wildrose nominee for Calgary Northern Hills. I joined the Wildrose because it is a party with fresh ideas and passionate leadership, and a true Conservative choice. I ran for the nomination to represent Calgary-Northern Hills because I believe those fresh ideas are needed to improve the quality of life in the Northern Hills district and I want be your MLA to accomplish that. The Wildrose is committed to bringing back the Alberta advantage in terms of good governance and better service delivery in key sectors like Health Care, Education and Senior Care.

Since being nominated last May, my team has worked harder than any other candidate, knocking on over 13000 doors in the Northern Hills to learn about the people, the problems and the priorities for you. I continue to knock on doors, but so far have learned your expectations of your next MLA:

• Make government transperent and accountable to the voters

• building the North Calgary Diagnosis and Treatment Centre and North Calgary High School, both planned in 2005

• building an additional Elementary School in Panorama Hills as the current one is full and investigating the merits of a school in Country Hills and Harvest Hills

• building a multipurpose facility in the Northern Hills to provide a facility and services to seniors, service groups and the community

• investigating the historical value of the Nose Creek valley east of Coventry Hills and determining if the land should be protected

• ensuring Cardel Place receives the necessary funding it needs for expansion to meet the needs of the community

• ensuring the government knows the the Northern Hills is a growing vibrant district with a population of 50000 that has seen little action from the current government

Albertans don't think their voice is being heard anymore resulting in one of the lowest voter turnout rates in the country. I want to hear you. I want to hear your priorities for this District, and Alberta. It's time for MLAs who advocate for the needs of their constituents and work for the people who elected them. It’s time to revive democracy and bring in a new era of transparency and accountability.

Please give me your vote in the next election and I promise that I will earn your trust and work for you tirelessly. I will stand up for our communities in Calgary Northern Hills Constituency and represent my constituents.
